- How is Zakat calculated?
- Zakat is 2.5% of the net wealth (cash, gold, silver, investments, business stock and receivables, minus debts) that you have held for one lunar year, provided it is above the nisab threshold.
- What is nisab?
- Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth before Zakat becomes due, roughly the value of 87.48g of gold or 612.36g of silver. Enter the current value for your area.
